CHARLOTTE MARLOW COMPOSER

Charlotte Marlow is a composer, artist, & theatre-maker originally from the North East, now residing in the sleepy English town of Todmorden, Yorkshire. Charlotte’s work spans folk music, contemporary classical music, and performance art. They have been commissioned by ensembles and organisations including English Touring Opera, PRS, Sound and Music, Britten Pears Arts, The European Network of Opera Academies, York Late Music and Making Music. She was a BOOM Fellow with Oxford Contemporary Music for 20/21, and has had her work performed internationally by ensembles and festivals including Streetwise Opera, Tête-à-Tête opera festival, KINETIC Manchester, as well as a recent run as part of The Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and Lucilin Ensemble’s 24/25 Opera Season.
Charlotte’s foremost creative interests lie in collaborative performance practice, art as activism, and ways of challenging and engaging with gender narrative on-stage.
